We show up & wash

Soft-wash technique on anything painted, full pressure on concrete and pavers, eco-conscious detergent either way.

You inspect before we leave

We walk the job with you and fix anything on the spot — before the hose gets coiled up, not after a callback.

A few honest limits

What we won't sugar-coat

We'd rather tell you this up front than surprise you on the invoice.

Loose or crumbling mortar gets flagged, not blasted Very worn paint may look patchy after — repainting may follow We reschedule around freezing overnight temps Roofs are soft-wash only — no pressure ever touches shingles Exteriors only — no interior work

Something borderline? Text us a photo before we quote — five minutes now saves a surprise later.

Meet the owner

The one who shows up

Dev Okafor spent six years running exterior maintenance crews for property management companies across the Treasure Valley — swapping air filters, patching drywall, and scrubbing enough grimy siding to last two lifetimes. In 2022, Dev bought a second pressure washer, printed some door hangers, and started knocking on doors personally. Grit & Gleam is still a two-person outfit: Dev drives most jobs, texts you back personally, and walks every finished job with you before packing up the hose.
Good to know

Questions, answered straight

Will this damage my paint or siding?+
Not with our technique. Anything painted, stuccoed or vinyl-sided gets soft-washed — low pressure, a cleaner with real dwell time, and a gentle rinse. Full pressure is reserved for concrete, pavers and brick, which can take it.
How long does a driveway take?+
Most single driveways run 45–90 minutes start to finish, depending on how bad the staining is. Full exterior washes are usually a half-day.
Do I need to be home?+
Nope. Point us to an outside hose bib (and an outlet if the job needs one) and we'll text you before/after photos when it's done.
What if it's raining or about to freeze?+
We reschedule at no cost — pressure washing in a hard freeze just refreezes the water on the surface, which helps nobody. We'll text you a new time as soon as the forecast clears.
Where do you clean?+
Pressure washing vs. soft washing — what's the difference?+
Pressure washing uses mechanical force (water pressure) to blast dirt off hard, tough surfaces like concrete. Soft washing uses lower pressure plus a cleaning solution with dwell time to lift algae, mildew and grime off surfaces that pressure alone would damage — paint, stucco, shingles. Most jobs use both, matched to the surface.
